Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
The main objective of an IPM program is to build the pest out of your environment using a combination of strategies that emphasize prevention. In an IPM program the objective is not to eradicate pests, but to suppress pest populations below a level at which they cause unaccetable damage. Treatments are performed only when and where monitoring and evaluations indicate pests above acceptable levels.
