Rivard's Resources: IPM advocates for the reduction of pests and pesticides. We work with organizations by providing education, training, consulting and assist with research.

Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
IPM is the use of two or more strategies to correct or precent pest infestations. It is imperative to sustain successful IPM that all stakeholders fulfill their responsibilities in their partnership.
How Pest Problems Are Identified
Problems are identified through the activities above. If a pest is found they must be properly identified before deciding on action. Monitoring is an ongoing activity that includes deployment of sticky, light, mechanical and other trapping devices.

Practices Used to Prevent or Control Pests
Inspect, monitor, document, educate, train and advise. As a certified applicator, I only apply pesticides for research or training situations.

If used at all, I expect less than a couple of pounds, injected into cracks and crevices and voids.
