Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

IPM involves identifying the pest, observing the level of pest presence, finding the conditions conducive to pest presence, and modifying the environment to eliminate the pest.

How Pest Problems Are Identified

Staff has knowledge of pest biology to identify and control pests.

Practices Used to Prevent or Control Pests

We point out the pest conducive conditions to the customer. Next, we or the customer can provide the necessary modifications to solve the pest problem. For example, if a customer has mulch against their home, this is a conducive condition for pests to enter the home when it rains.

Biological Controls Used?

Yes, we have used nematodes and ladybugs.

Borates Used?

Yes. Timbor is used as a preventive and control technique in new construction for termites. Borates in powder form can also be used in cracks and crevices of existing structures. Boric acid in a crystallized form (non-volatile as opposed to powder) is used in carpet for flea control.
