Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

Frist IPM is the only professional pest management company in Phoenix, we are degreed entomologists, not technicians. Some of us have over 40 years of experience from careers with manufacturers, government, etc. Basically IPM does not do scheduled chemical treatments; meaning monthly, bimonthly, quarterly etc. We offer a guaranteed once a year chemical treatment to our residential customers, with no cost call back visits if needed. Commercial accounts are handled different but pesticice use when necessary is minimized to only that amount which is needed to manage the pest and nothing more.

How Pest Problems Are Identified

Yes, inspection and montoring are done all the time with risk assesment before applying a pesticide.

All of the above including regulatory, biological, resistence, elimination, risk assesment, etc.

Top Ten Pesticides Used/Sold/Recommended

Borates, IGRs, pyrethroids, soap, baby powder, water, etc. IPM does not have a top 10 list. Each situation is different. There is no allegence to pesticide usage.

How Much Pesticide Used Per Year, and How Applied?

IPM does hand applications. Power equipement is rarely used.

Uses Physical or Mechanical Controls?

Again, we do IPM, integrated pest management, therefore all of these and more are incorporated in the management program of IPM
