Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

A method of pest management that uses physical and preventative methods, as well as inspection to prevent pest problems before or in addition to chemical methods. A five step process including: inspection, identification, planning, exclusion and treatment (if needed).

How Much Pesticide Used Per Year, and How Applied?

Yes. Pesticides are generally applied to the outside of a structure with minimal treatment on the inside unless needed. Perimeter treatments are done with approimately five to ten gallons of .0190 solution.

Sealing cracks, crevices or entry points into the structure. Traps can be used for insects and rodents.
