Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
Using a wide variety of applications to manage a pest population, with chemical application as the last choice.

Through monitoring and inspection. Monitoring can be visual use of traps, or any technique that will identify a pest.

Practices Used to Prevent or Control Pests
Trapping, physical removal, habitat modification, sanitation practices, common sense, exclusion.

For termite control.

Pesticides can only be applied according to the label. Only as much as needed.

Mouse traps, netting for bird exclusion, vapor machine to remove organic material build-up providing a breeding medium for flies.
