Services/Products/IPM Description
Range of Products and Services
Green Acres Organics is a 100% organic lawn and garden treatment service that specializes in Organic Fertilizing and Soil Enhancement with an emphasis on alternatives to pest control. We focus on creating a living healthy lawn that obtains its nutrients through a natural process. Our all-in-one proprietary product contains all the macro and micro nutrients needed for sustainable growth and offers protection through the use of horticultural oils. It is even more efficient than chemical products because it focuses on a permanent transition instead of continual commitment. Our product is specially formulated to improve root growth in grass and plants. This results in a deeper denser root structure that draws moisture and nutrients from the soil more efficiently. The result is a lawn or garden that grows thicker and greener, without growing "up" any faster, which attracts herbivorous insects and needs to be cut or maintained more often. A Green Acres Organics lawn holds and utilizes moisture better, and requires less frequent watering. It increases the vitality of the grass and plants from the roots up, for better conditioned, drought and disease resistant lawn or garden.

Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
Our definition of IPM is utilizing a responsible approach to lawn and garden protection through the implementation of minimally intrusive or destructive methods. For us this means providing plants and grasses the proper amount of nutrition through natural ingredients to create healthy plants and soils that will not attract pests, disease, and fungus. We also enable plants with additional protection by adding horticultural oils to our ingredients.
How Pest Problems Are Identified

How do you evaluate the effectiveness of your pest management systems? We conduct an analysis of your plants and soil before our first treatment to access nutrient levels and microbial activity. Throughout our process we consult with the customers on ways to prevent attracting herbivorous insects and we re-evaluate semi-annually to show the customers the prgress and document the results.
