What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

IPM is a series of pest management protocols that begins and is based on utilizing least toxic methods to establish control.

 

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

Yes. Daily, weekly and monthly scouting, monitoring and low environmental impact treatment for ants, cockroaches, mice, rats, stinging insects, etc. Monitoring is a vital componant of any successful IPM program and is done before and after control. Monitoring is accomplished by both carefull and methodical visual inspection and the use of sticky traps and non-toxic bait between visits.

How are pest problems identified?

Identification is established through thorough inspection and monitoring practices.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Monitoring, baiting and strict adherance to ALL IPM protocols.

 

Do you use biological controls?

Yes. Bt in appropriate circumstances.

 

Do you use borates?

Yes, in subterranean termite control.

Do you use synthetic chemicals?

Yes. Fipronil, pyrethroids, abamectin, deltamethrin, imidacloprid, hydramethylnone, sulfuramid.

Boric acid, Timbor, abamectin, mint oil, fipronil, imidacloprid, sulfuramid, Advance Dual Choice ant bait (abamectin), diphacinone, hydramethylnone.

Yes. Extensive clean-up and rigorous sanitation around a commercial structure and the repair of any avenues of pest infiltration.

Yes. One-way doors for bats and squirrels. Multi-catch traps for rodent control.
