What
is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)? |
|
A
method of scouting and monitoring to detect problems at their inception,
enabling the land care professional to correct the problem when it
is small and easier to control. |
|
Is pest management performed on a specific schedule? |
|
Yes.
During periods of high disease and insect pressure, we scout the "hotspots"
on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. We look for signs of insects or disease,
set traps or indicator cards to monitor populations, and search for
signs of beneficial organisms. Populations are monitored with site
visits, sticky and pheromone traps, and GDD timing. |
