Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

Crabgrass is prevented with gluten in spring. Reseeding with endophyte enhance seed in august. Garlic extract before outdoor parties or weekends.


How are pest problems identified?

Grubs, Crabgrass & chinch bugs are sighted visually by me. The materials that I use will not harm predator populations.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Educate the home owner on proper cultural practices.

Do you use biological controls?

We use milky spore, nematodes & endophyte enhanced turf seed.

Garlic barrier, grub guard, milky spore & caster oil.

Back Pack Sprayer. 50 LBs of milky spore, 12 Gallons of garlic and 2 Gallons of caster oil.

Does your company perform habitat modification?

Yes. Aeration of the soil and removal of thatch to keep chinch bugs at bay.

Do you use any physical or mechanical controls?

I've caught a few moles with my aerator. I lend out BB guns to clients to chase away foraging critters.

What type of fertilizers do you use/sell/recommend?

Pro Gro 5-4-3 water insoluble, greens and rack phosphate seaweed.
