Pest control service provider for residential and commercial interior pest and termite control services utilizing least toxic / natural products and integrated pest management (IPM) technologies.

What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

I like the definition on the University of Florida's website, "IPM is a process for balancing the risks between pests and pesticides to achieve long term pest suppression."

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

Yes, we have a specific schedule depending on the client's property size and pest pressure. For example, residential clients get one scheduled service per year, the rest is on-call, on teh other hand we service one of the largest hospitals in Florida for which we go several times per week. On our scheduled service the normal protocol is to first inspect; if pests are found take the least toxic option, monitor, and re-evaluate treatment options.

How are pest problems identified?

Primarily through inspection and monitoring (such as sticky traps).

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Habitat manipulation, proofing, housekeeping and least toxic/natural product technologies.

Do you use biological controls?

No.

Do you use borates?

Yes: dust and granule formulations extensively.

Do you use synthetic chemicals?

Only as a last resort. Advion bait, for fire ants primarily.

What are the top 10 pesticides you use/sell/recommend?

Boric acid dust, boric acid granules, eugenol dust, Eco-G granules, eugenol wasp spray, Advance termite baiting system for termites, NIC dust (lime), Eco-exempt and pine oil for fire ant control.

If pesticides are used, how much are used per year of each?

As we are a small company we do not track usage data; however, all products used are as directed by the label.

Does your company perform habitat modification?

We don't perform it as a service but recommend it to our clients, e.g. trimming of vegetation around buildings.

Do you use any physical or mechanical controls?

Rodent traps.

What type of fertilizers do you use/sell/recommend?

We do not provide.

What do you usually use/sell/recommend for addressing:

termites Advance termite baiting system

cockroaches Boric acid dust

fleas Boric acid dust

carpenter ants Boric acid dust

fire ants Insecto 7 (pine oil)

ants (indoor) Terro (boric acid bait)
