We are
a full service company serving southeastern Michigan, including animal
trapping and mosquito control. All technicians and office staff are
IPM certified. |

What
is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)? |
|
IPM is an
inspection, monitoring and a mechanical process that is used along
with an action threshold program. An application of a pesticide is
made only as a last resort. |

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule? |
|
Inspections are
done on a monthly basis. Some actions are taken to prevent problems,
for example outside treatment to control wasps. |

How
are pest problems identified? |
|
We monitor with
traps. If the action threshold is exceeded and sanitation or repairs
are not the problem, baits and mechanical controls are used first
to regain control. |

What practices
do you use to prevent and/or control pests? |
|
Baits,
traps, pheromones, sanitation and repairs. Chemical control is used
when all other methods are exhausted. |

use biological controls? |

Active enzymes
for drain control. |

We have used
boric
acids for some cockroach control. Also Niban for cockroach, cricket
and ant control. |

We don't
sell any pesticides to school. We will sell items like bee traps,
glue boards and stations (Advance). |

|
Pesticides are
used as a last resort. Our use of them is minimally important. |

Very important
with IPM. Changing the habits of some customers is vital in controlling
insect infestation. |
