What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

Using a wide variety of applications to manage a pest population, with chemical application as the last choice.

 

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

Inspection is performed on a scheduled basis according to the needed conditions of the facility. Monitoring is always occurring and is a form of control.

How are pest problems identified?

Through monitoring and inspection. Monitoring can be visual use of traps, or any technique that will identify a pest.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Trapping, physical removal, habitat modification, sanitation practices, common sense, exclusion.

 

Do you use biological controls?

No.

 

Do you use borates?

For termite control.

Do you use synthetic chemicals?

I will use them only if needed for a situation. I will provide pesticides labels and Material Safety Data Sheets if requested.

What are the top 10 pesticides you use/sell/recommend?

I do not have a top ten list, nor do I want one.

If pesticides are used, how much are used per year of each?

Pesticides can only be applied according to the label. Only as much as needed.

Does your company perform habitat modification?

Yes. Removal of debris and old stored items for mouse control.

Do you use any physical or mechanical controls?

Mouse traps, netting for bird exclusion, vapor machine to remove organic material build-up providing a breeding medium for flies.

What type of fertilizers do you use/sell/recommend?

N/A

 

What do you usually use/sell/recommend for addressing: Every situation is different, and I cannot recommend anything unless the situation is evaluated.
