Saturday evening post-conference dinner and dancing at eco-conscious clubs
Safer Pest Control Project and Beyond Pesticides are hosting a party Saturday evening after the conference, 7:00 pm at the Butterfly Social Club. All conference participants are invited (and encouraged!) to attend. The cost is $25 and includes an organic dinner, transportation from the Forum to the club, and admission to both the Butterfly Social Club and the Funky Buddha Lounge nextdoor. There will be a cash bar with drink specials.
Talk about organic! The interior of the all-natural Social Butterfly Club is built out with a mud, sand, clay and straw mixture formed into trees (with real leaves) growing out of the wall. Sit snug in your own little "treehouse" nook coated in beeswax while looking around at a space designed from recycled materials. Look for the spot's namesake: Mirrored mosaic butterflies can be spotted on the walls. Solar power keeps the lights going and the global-beat DJs spinning while you sip chemical-free drinks and juices in a smoke-free spot. View grand opening photos.
