As someone with a medical condition that causes my immune system to become suppressed when I am exposed to chemicals/ pesticides... which puts me at risk of having a THIRD bout with breast cancer.... I am truly grateful for studies that link breast cancer with pesticides. Hopefully, the public will eventually wake up and stop spraying pesticides in schools, offices, homes, communities.. and on our food. Stop wasting tax payers money by spraying "invasive" plants in our parks. It would be nice to be able to go outside and breathe CLEAN air!!! That would be a real treat.

The supposedly long banned persistent organic pollutants, POPs, have to be of great concern to public health. These chemicals such as PCBs, toxaphene, chlordane and Lindane are still used in megaton quantities in the developing world. Recent research has shown thet these uses supply North Americans with hundreds of millions of molecules per breath full and seriously pollute our waters and wildlife. Seehttp://www.scienceagogo.com/news/pops.shtml for insite into this forgotten problem.

Thanks for sharing this study, which again underscores the dangers of pesticides in our environment. Reading the studies is confusing, and we are compiling a list of items which commonly contain these chemicals, as well as possible alternatives/solutions, so that those concerned about breast cancer can begin to take action now. This can be found at www.avoidcancernow.com, on the left side of the home page under breast cancer news.

Thanks for fighting the fight!
