I came upon this page after looking up pineapple/pesticide allergies on the net. Yesterday my mother (who has eaten pineapples before) got a quite a severe reaction to a DEL MONTE fresh pineappple. Reading your entry makes me believe that this has something to do with the pesticides used by Del Monte. I’m not sure what we can do about this. (I never ate it myself, but as a test, I only chewed a sample in my mouth, and moments later got a mild reaction too!)
