Is GE owned in any way by the Koch Brothers? Just wondering....they have their fingers in so many companies.

I do not trust a product that has been genetically altered as this sweet corn has. There are too many what ifs still to be worked out. And now, with the comments about less nutrients going back into the ground...it should be produced in smaller amounts and given long term testing to see if this will hurt or help the soil. We put enough chemicals into the soil the way it is, we don't need to put any more in. Plus, the runoff from the fields into the water table...in many areas this is the same water that is used for human consumption.

WalMart seems to think it can do what it wants as long as they make a profit. And with so much buying power it pretty much can. When they said they will not tell consumers that it is altered sweet corn, it put the death knell on getting the signs up to tell consumers. Again their muscles were flexing. :(

We must stand up and demand from WalMart that they tell consumers what kind of sweet corn they are selling. We must demand it from all sellers of foods for human consumption.

Our children and our grandchildren will thank us for being careful on what goes into their bodies...heck future generations beyond the grandchildren will thank us too.

We are completely out-gunned financially by Monsanto, but not out-manned. I think it will be a miracle if Prop 37 passes. Endorsements are not as important as advertising dollars, but do you know

a California person, government official or business who wants to support labeling GE products in food?
