EPA has been working on this reassessment of risk since 1991. That’s 21 years! And now they have finished part of the job. And data in the new report show “that the average background exposure of the American public to dioxin in food is very close to or above the EPA new reference dose.” Did we not know that dioxin was bad? Why spend 21 years to get to this point, instead of eliminating dioxins?
