		<description><![CDATA[Today, 25 October 2011, the EU General Court annuls the Commission’s ban on triclosan in food-contact materials – judgment of 25 October 2011 in case T-262/10. According to the Court, the Commission was not entitled to remove triclosan from the list of chemicals under directive 90/128 when the original applicant (Ciba) withdrew its application for authorisation in 2009.
