I’m a teacher who has been made ill with deltamethrin (Suspend) and fipronil (Termador) sprayed at my school. I am presently on Worker’s Comp, against my will, waiting for the chemistry to clear from my body. What Ethel says is completely true. My district keeps telling me that it’s “non-toxic and gone within 24 hours”, but my body doesn’t agree. Teachers who ask about symptoms are told “Everyone’s different”. I wonder how many of the pregnant young high school girls will be giving birth to babie with disabilities. I told the VP to watch test scores. I know I am…

Synthetic Pyrethroid mixtures along with “Inerts” are used on our children daily in schools. Kids and teachers are reacting to these products with headaches, nausea, skin burning and various stages of dizziness, drowsiness and inability to think normally including anger and general depression and irritibiliy. If the parents complain about the monthly spraying of the schools they are told that the products used a ‘totally safe’ and do not harm anybody by the school personnel. If a person reports the problem to the EPA, a representative of the local County Ag Commissioner’s Office ‘will investigate as to whether the pesticide was used in accordance with ‘label information’”…if they find that it was used according to “label specifications”, nothing is done about the illness produced by the pesticide exposures.

We are routinely exposing our kids to known neurotoxic pesticides on a monthly basis in schools, restaurants and numerous other public places. How is this OK? This needs to change!!!!!
